AGM & Conference Update

Due to wildfire damage at Jasper Park Lodge, our AGM & Conference will now be held at Banff Springs Hotel (BSH) from Oct 9-11, 2024. Early arrival on Oct 8 and stay through Oct 11 is available.

  • Your patience has been greatly appreciated as we worked to pivot from the Jasper Park Lodge to the Banff Springs Hotel. Unfortunately the transition was not as seamless as anticipated. If you had a room with JPL which transferred over to BSH, you will not be receiving a confirmation email.
  • Instead, you will have to call the Banff Springs Hotel to confirm your room and provide a credit card number before September 17th. After the 17th, all unclaimed rooms will be dropped. Cancellations cannot be made after the 17th without incurring penalties.
  • When you call in (403) 762-2211 the reservation desk will look up your name on our rooming list and you can give your credit card information. Please note double occupancy and children/pets were not included on the list so be sure to confirm occupancy as well as check in and check out dates. Make any necessary changes when you are confirming your room.
  • We apologize for any inconvenience this added step may cause. Be sure to mention you are with Alberta Forest Products Association 2024.
  • The cancellation date for Hotel Rooms without penalty will be September 17th. The cancellation date for the AGM & Conference without penalty, will be October 4.
  • If you haven’t registered for the conference yet, please do so on Eventbrite.
  • Unfortunately, we are not able to host the golf tournament this year because the golf course at BSH closes on October 6

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

Yes, tickets are transferable.rnrnThe deadline for Early Bird pricing is June 30.rnrnThe deadline for all registrations is September 20.

Can I update my registration information?

Yes, you can update registration information.rnrnThe deadline for all online registrations is September 20.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No, you do not need to bring a printed ticket to the event. Digital proof of registration will suffice.

What is the refund policy?

Conference refunds will be issued until registration closes September 20. After registration closes, refunds will no longer be issued. You may transfer your paid conference registration to another person.rnrnPlease note that the Jasper Park Lodge has different cancellation and refund policies from the AFPA. All hotel room registrations, requests, or cancellations must be directed to JPL .

The name on the registration/ticket doesn’t match the attendee. Is that okay?

Yes, however, name tags and registration packages will be issued in the name that was registered.  Please update any name changes for the delegates who are attending by September 20.
