Online Learning
AFPA is now working with the Digital Action Tracking System (DATS) platform for online learning, On-the-Job Training (OJT) tracking, and competency management.
DATS provides access to e-Learning courses and allows users to track training progress and competency development in one centralized system. Through DATS, users can complete e-Learning modules and turn assigned “red dots” into “green dots” as training requirements are completed. Some additional red dots related to OJT and competency confirmations may require review or sign-off by supervisors or designated evaluators.
Available for both AFPA members and contractors – individuals and companies, DATS helps support worker competency, training compliance, and ongoing workforce development.
For more information about accessing DATS through AFPA, please contact AFPA directly.
Note: DATS usage/membership fees may apply.

Training Benefits:
Employee well-being: A safe and healthy workplace is essential for the well-being of employees. Health and safety training can help employees understand potential hazards and how to avoid them, how to prevent incidents, and what to do in the event of an emergency.
Legal compliance: Employers have a legal obligation to provide a safe working environment for their employees. This may include providing health and safety training to all employees.
Improved productivity: When employees feel safe and healthy at work, they are more likely to be productive. By providing health and safety training, employers can help reduce absenteeism, turnover, and costs associated with incidents, such as workers’ compensation claims, and lost productivity.
Reputation management: A workplace that values the health and safety of its employees can enhance its reputation, attract top talent, and improve customer loyalty.
Risk management: Health and safety training can help employers identify and manage potential risks in the workplace, which can reduce the likelihood of incidents, and help minimize their impact if they do occur.
Culture of safety: Workplace health and safety training helps to promote a culture of safety in the workplace. This can lead to increased awareness and a greater commitment to safety among all employees, creating a safer working environment for everyone.
