Confidence in Canada

Posted by AFPA | April 12, 2018

The Alberta Forest Products Association is one of 70 signatories from across Canada on a letter to Prime Minister Trudeau urging prompt action to get the Trans Mountain pipeline built. We are Albertans and Canadians and we want to see our country and province thrive. We also want a fair regulatory environment. Alberta’s forest industry is intensely regulated. Everything we do from tree harvesting, to transporting logs and lumber, to emissions from pulp mills must meet strict government-imposed standards. And that’s a good thing. What is not good is when regulatory processes are used as a tool by those who are opposed to any development. We urge you to take a stand for fairness and for our economy, visit confidenceincanada.com to send your own message.
