AGM & Conference Update
Due to wildfire damage at Jasper Park Lodge, our AGM & Conference will now be held at Banff Springs Hotel from Oct 9-11, 2024. Early arrival on Oct 8 and stay through Oct 11 is available.
- If you would like to attend the conference in Banff, no further action is required. Your hotel reservations and conference registrations will automatically be transferred.
- If the new dates and location no longer work for you, please email ymcwatt@albertaforestproducts.ca by the end of day August 16. We need to provide Fairmont with our estimated number of attendees. We will also look after the cancelation of your room reservation(s). Please request a refund through Eventbrite for your conference registration, which will be refunded to the credit card originally used.
- If you require hotel room reservations, for the time being, please email ymcwatt@albertaforestproducts.ca with your request and we will do our best to accommodate you. DO NOT contact Banff Springs hotel directly. We are working with the hotel on room numbers and rates. Please stay tuned.
- The new cancellation date for Hotel Rooms without penalty will be September 6. The new cancellation date for the AGM & Conference without penalty, will be October 4.
- If you haven’t registered for the conference yet, please do so on Eventbrite.
- Unfortunately, we are not able to host the golf tournament this year because the golf course at BSH closes on October 6

AGM FAQs
Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
Yes, tickets are transferable.
The deadline for Early Bird pricing is June 30.
The deadline for all registrations is September 20.
Can I update my registration information?
Yes, you can update registration information.
The deadline for all online registrations is September 20.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No, you do not need to bring a printed ticket to the event. Digital proof of registration will suffice.
What is the refund policy?
Conference refunds will be issued until registration closes September 20. After registration closes, refunds will no longer be issued. You may transfer your paid conference registration to another person.
Please note that the Jasper Park Lodge has different cancellation and refund policies from the AFPA. All hotel room registrations, requests, or cancellations must be directed to JPL .
The name on the registration/ticket doesn’t match the attendee. Is that okay?
Yes, however, name tags and registration packages will be issued in the name that was registered. Please update any name changes for the delegates who are attending by September 20.
