Mackenzie Region of Northwest Alberta Named 2024 Forest Capital of Canada

The Canadian Institute of Forestry/Institut forestier du Canada (CIF-IFC) proudly designated the Mackenzie Region of Northwest Alberta as the Forest Capital of Canada (FCC) for the upcoming year. This prestigious title, established in 1979, honours a community or region’s profound connection to the forest, emphasizing its socio-economic and environmental significance.
